Hemant Soren files nomination papers to retake Jharkhand Chief Minister’s post
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken an important step towards returning to power by officially filing his nomination papers.
Soren, who resigned amid a legal battle earlier this year, shocked the political world by filing his nomination papers from the Gandey assembly seat. His party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has fully supported his return and key allies are also united in his favour.
Political Tensions Rise as Soren’s Return Sparks Opposition Outcry
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other opposition leaders have criticized Soren’s comeback, questioning the timing and legal aspects of his nomination. Despite this, Soren remains confident, addressing supporters with a promise to continue Jharkhand’s development agenda.
Political analysts believe Soren’s return could drastically shift the state’s power dynamics, especially with upcoming elections looming.
All eyes are now on the Election Commission’s verdict and the political developments in Jharkhand over the next few weeks.
