Shibu Soren’s son and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed deep sorrow over the demise of his father. In an emotional statement, Hemant said, “Baba was not only a father, but a guiding force for our people. His entire life was dedicated to the rights and dignity of tribals and marginalized people.”
The state government has declared three days of mourning. All government offices and educational institutions will remain closed on the day of his funeral. Thousands of party workers and supporters have gathered at the Soren residence in Ranchi to pay tribute to him.

Leaders across the country, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, have expressed their condolences. Shibu Soren’s contribution to the creation of Jharkhand and his tireless struggle for tribal rights are being remembered with great respect.
